Does it work when you disable the Check Free space setting? Also how much free space is shown in the bottom right of the screen?

was using .3.3 now using .3.4

It works when I edit the settings.xml -> setting_check_size="0"

There is no free space indicated on the bottom right of the screen even though the settings file is the same for the USB as it is for the SD (except for setting_use_sd="0" and setting_sd_card="0")

The "Show free space" setting in the program has a big red X and so I click it takes a little while but then it displays 12MB Free. I thought the program had frozen when I clicked the icon because everything except the music stopped. I started doing something else and noticed several mins later that the icon had changed.

hmm seems to be frozen .. when I clicked B on the Wiimote the music keeps playing but pointer dosn't move there is no response to the buttons being pressed on the Wiimote. I can hold the power button on the Wiimote and the remote goes out and I can press it again and it comes on and the first led on it comes alive like it's talking to the Wii but still no response from the HB. been like. also the H/D indicator on the external USB device is acting as though it's being read.

That would be the checking to see if there is enough free space which you have turned off, which is fine.

It seems like the method used to calculate free space is taking a long time to calculate on your 1 TB HDD (I've only tested it on a 256MB USB drive). At this point in time, I would suggest you leave setting_sd_card to 0 and setting_check_size to 0 as you currently have. I only have a 200 GB external hard drive which I'll give it a test on and see how long it takes to calculate free space and make any adjustments from that.

Tried to test on USB drive, couldn't get it to be detected, might be because I'm using a poor converter (SATA HDD to USB)
